A Fresh Take on Luxury: Inside This Bathroom Remodel

Earlier this year, Blue Ribbon remodeled an early 2000s traditional primary bathroom into a spa-like primary bathroom! Before the company remodeled it, these classic finishes were defined with rich burgundy walls, crown molding, and substantial trim that added a formal character. The bathroom also was busy and dated by today’s “standards.”

While the finishes were classic, the overall layout and visual weight of the space made it feel closed in and less relaxing than the homeowners wanted for their primary suite.

The homeowners were ready for a change and wanted a bathroom that felt more modern, open, and serene. Their vision centered around creating a clean aesthetic with spa-like elements that would feel inviting and refined — a space designed not just for function, but for everyday relaxation.

To achieve this, the project required a complete gut renovation, allowing the Blue Ribbon team to rethink the layout, materials, and lighting from the ground up.
