It’s been a while since I gave an update. Things have been crazy with Phillip starting and Chris leaving. Today was the first day without Chris and I survived, quite well as a matter of fact.
On to the update. Once the demo was done for the bathroom we discovered a significant structural support issue. There was a load point right in the center of where the vanity is going to be. (couldn’t see it before the sheet rock was removed). Our trusty engineer arrived to save the day and redirected the load around the vanity and down to the foundation, problem solved and now corrected. Note the picture with the large engineered header now holding up the attic bedroom and bathroom. Trades are beginning this week with their rough in installations. We should be into inspections next week.
A few pics for your viewing pleasure.
